Fused Glass Pendant

This pendant is fused with black and red opalescent and a transparent golden iridescent glass. It is a bold and striking color combination. At it's widest points this pendant is 1⅝” long and 1” wide.

This pendant was created by firing multiple layers of glass for many hours in a hot kiln at temperatures exceeding 1400 degrees Fahrenheit. The glass is allowed to cool and then cold worked (cutting and grinding) into a pleasing organic shape. Each piece is then returned to the kiln and fired again to give it a nice thick polished edge.

Please note that small bubbles can form between the layers of glass where air has become trapped as the piece fully fused. This is part of the handmade charm and delight of the work.

Each pendant is unique and handcrafted by me here in my studio in St. Petersburg, FL.

All pendants are mounted on a nickel-plated bail unless otherwise stated. The hole through the bail is large enough to allow a variety of necklaces to be used for wear.

Every pendant comes with an 18" stainless steel chain and 2" extender.

I am passionate about protecting the environment and employ sustainable practices whenever possible. I try to strike a responsible balance between protecting the glass and reducing waste. I use recycled shipping materials and 100% of the packaging you receive is recyclable including the tissue paper and zero-waste logo stickers!
